1882 Reflection: Asian American Studies at Georgetown University

Spring 2019 marks the first semester Georgetown University will offer an “Intro to Asian American Studies” course.When students created the Asian-Pacific Islander Leadership Forum (APILF), they hoped it would serve as a political organizing space for Asian American and Pacific Islander undergraduates at Georgetown University. Recently, students in APILF have begun to use this space to think critically about the intersection of formal education and Asian American narratives. 1882 Foundation Summer Internship Reflection By Jennifer Sugijanto Jennifer is a rising second-year student at Georgetown University. She is planning on majoring in History with a minor in Biology and is on the pre-medical track.
