DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the completion of the U.S. Transcontinental Railroad and celebrate the contributions of our Hall of Honor honorees\, the Chinese Railroad Workers. \nSpecial Guest Speaker\nSue Lee\, retired Executive Director of the Chinese Historical Society of America (CHSA) and co-editor of “Voices from the Railroad\,” oral histories from descendants of Central Pacific Railroad workers. CHSA is the oldest organization in the country dedicated to the interpretation\, promotion\, and preservation of the social\, cultural and political history and contributions of the Chinese in America. \nMay 20\, 2019\, at 12:00 Noon\, at the Department of Labor\, Hall of Honor\, 200 Constitution Ave. NW\, Washington DC 20210. \nEvent is free and open to public but requires RSVP to Thomas at: tso.thomas@dol.gov. \n
