
Join 1882 and Terence Nicholson for our Tai Chi in the District on Saturday, May 31st at 2 pm!
Tai Chi in the District is our May Talk Story event and will include a Tai Chi workshop, along with a presentation from Terence about his journey with Tai Chi.

Terence Nicholson is a born Washingtonian and a longtime native of Anacostia. He currently works as an Exhibit Specialist at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. He has recorded and toured worldwide as a composer, producer, and improvisational lyricist. Terence has been a practitioner and teacher of Chinese martial arts for over thirty years, and he holds several gold medals from national and international tournaments. In 2018, he won his event in the 6th Annual World Kuoshu Tournament. He has taught self-defense and Tai Chi classes for community and professional organizations and businesses, including the World Bank, and for the Executive staff under the Obama administration.
