September 11 – Baldwin Chu – Screening of “Finding Cleveland and discussion about Chinese Roots to the Mississippi Delta

September 16 – Movie Night on the Park – Jackie Chan is the Monkey King: the Hero is Back – part of the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival with DC Mayor OPIA and CCBA (on the Chinatown Park, at I Street, Chinatown, 7:00 – 10:00pm)

October 22 – Terry Wong and Sushmita Mazumdar, History, Authors and Story Telling about Asian American children literature (at Studio Pause, Arlington, 10:00am to 4:00pm, free but RSVP required)

October 23 – Scott Seligman – Tong Wars: The Untold Story of Vice, Money and Murder in New York Chinatown

November 13 – Jennings Wong – Chinese American Veterans: Stories of Service, Honor and Heritage, a open mic.

September 26 – October 3 – Civil Rights and the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act (at Black History Museum in Alexandria)

October 11 – Through Chinatown’s Eyes: April 1968, film screening (at Busboys and Poets)

October 18 – Shirley and Walter Woo – The Chinese Community Church at 80 years

November 27 – Changfu Chang — Rickie’s Promise – A film screening on returning to China, discovery and identity.
