When internationally adopted American teenager Ricki Mudd returns to China to live with her long-lost birth family for a summer, she pieces together fragments of her mysterious past, exploring culture, tradition, politics and past choices that shaped her life. “Ricki’s Promise stands out as a more complex work…with many moments of unexpected sweetness and authenticity” says the Wall Street Journal. Producer, writer, film director Changfu Chang will discuss the making of the film.
