Taking a Deeper Dive: What is the Context, Historically and Culturally, of the AAPI Experience
ZoomWhat do we need to understand about the AAPI experience and how it is similar and different to those of other minorities and underrepresented groups? With the help of professors who teach about the Asian American experience in universities, we will examine the focal points of their courses, finding out what generated their interest in AAPI Studies and what students are interested in learning about. Our discussion will consider the connections between the work they do in Higher Education and the K-12 curriculum.
