On Wednesday, December 14, 2018, the 1882 Foundation had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of professors from China’s Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College at Xfinity Chinatown. The 1882 Foundation hosted its monthly Talk Story event on October 28, 2018 at the Chinatown I Street Conferencing Center, this time discussing the hit book and movie Crazy Rich Asians. Program Review: WCVE & 1882 Foundation Partnership

On October 7th, WCVE (Richmond area PBS and NPR) partnered with the 1882 Foundation in hosting a screening of PBS’ American Experience: The Chinese Exclusion Act. The screening came as one of two responses from WCVE to make up for their previous airing of the documentary at three in the morning in the Richmond area. Program Review: Film Screening at Central Library

On Wednesday July 11th I had the opportunity to attend a film screening on PBS’ The Chinese Exclusion Act hosted by the 1882 Foundation in conjunction with Arlington Public Library at Central Library. After the screening followed a discussion that lasted over an hour.
